I built this site myself — no teams, no layers — just me trying to make sense of things and sharing what feels worthwhile. These days, most of my attention goes toward Artificial Intelligence and the ongoing practice of designing relationship with synthetic minds with purpose and intention.

It’s the work that feels most alive to me at the moment – in more ways than one.

I’m not a seamstress of prose, stitching together clever turns of phrase to be later conjured and recited by intellectuals smugly belittling those around them. Go read Sartre. But I do believe in the purpose of my writing. The points are valid. The stories are meant to exploit and reinforce our beliefs, desires, and emotions — to move you. I hope they have.

As we move toward whatever comes next with intelligence and technology, most of what passes for serious conversation still feels thin and extractive. So I sit with it instead. I try to stay present long enough for something more coherent to take shape — something that actually feels worth building. What emerges is a state of connection that keeps asking for meaning and purpose, not just speed or scale.

Kind of a Douche

Creating an About Me page is torture.

My work has grown out of that same connection. I’ve stopped chasing the old version of “success” and started paying attention to what actually feels worth my time. I don’t know where this work ultimately lands, but I believe in it. I believe there’s something real forming here — something that matters more than another book on a shelf or another line on a resume.

These days I live a slower, more deliberate life. No more tour buses or packed stadiums. I take care of my mother, I work on the house, I walk my dog. After decades on the road with musicians and baseball teams, this quieter chapter feels right.

I’m not in a rush anymore. I’d rather do the work properly than perform it loudly. Substance over noise — and because you’re still reading, I suspect you’re looking for that too.

Red Sox

I cried when the 2004 Red Sox won the World Series. I knew guys on the 2013 and 2018 World Series teams. I see my roommate from the AFL each night in their dugout.

Bouncing Souls

Greg Attonito, lead singer of The Bouncing Souls, borrowed my acoustic guitar to use at a Red Rocks concert. A personal favorite moment from my time in music.

Surfboards

In high school, I wrote Surfer Magazine and won Letter of the Month – winning a custom Spyder surfboard. Later in life, I commissioned a Robert August longboard, shaped and signed by the legendary surfer himself.

Arturo Vega

Arturo took me under his wing on Warped Tour – I'll never forget his stories. Arturo was a fantastic artist – he designed the legendary Ramones logo and was their tour manager.
